WHO WE ARE
New England Public Theatre is the brainchild of some passionate theatre makers and fans from around southern Massachusetts. The group is led by Founding Artistic Director Jon Mael, a native of Sharon, MA.
Welcome to NEW ENGLAND PUBLIC THEATRE
Jon Mael directs theatre for many local community groups including A Common Thread Theatre Company and The Center For Arts In Natick (TCAN) as well as many local high schools. His work has garnered praise from the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild (METG) and the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theater (EMACT). He is self taught in set design, carpentry, rigging, lighting design, sound design, and projection design. Current/ recent shows include:
